''Tea in the Harem'' (french: Le Thé au harem d'Archimède) is a 1985 film directed by Mehdi Charef, based on a book written by Charef in 1983. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1985 Cannes Film Festival. The film won the Prix Jean Vigo in 1985. Mehdi Charef (born 21 October 1952) is a French film director and screenwriter of Algerian descent. He has worked on eleven films between 1985 and 2007.
