Taís Bianca Gama de Araújo (; born 25 November 1978) is a Brazilian actress, TV host and model. Her first prominent role on television was in 1996 as protagonist of the Brazilian telenovela '' Xica da Silva'' by Walcyr Carrasco, in the Rede Manchete. In 2004, she portrayed Preta in ''Da Cor do Pecado'' created by João Emanuel Carneiro and she played Ellen, comic antagonist in the telenovela ''Cobras & Lagartos'' in 2006. ''Showdown'' (Portuguese: ''Tocaia Grande'') is a Brazilian Modernist novel. It was written by Jorge Amado in 1984. Plot The novel deals with the foundation of a community, ''Tocaia Grande'' ("big ambush" in Portuguese), in a fertile agricultural zone in the state of Bahia. The ambush referred to in the title is carried out by Natario de Fonseca, a jagunço in the service of a plantation owner, Colonel Boaventura. Twenty gunfighters assembled by the latter's only political rival are killed, effectively destroying the opponent. Natario fell in love with the location of the ambush and resolved to establish a community there. The novel is really about the growth of the village and the petty criminals, runaway servants and prostitutes who drift in and out. Méier is a middle class and upper middle class neighborhood in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The neighborhood is the historic center of the "''Área dos Engenhos''", or "Mill Area", which today is known as ''Grande Méier'' (Great Méier) and has been a sub-prefecture since 2013. As a result, it has a wide range of shops and a variety of services and transport, although it is not one of the largest neighborhoods of the municipality. Afro-Brazilians ( pt, afro-brasileiros; ) are Brazilians who have predominantly African ancestry (see " preto"). Most members of another group of people, multiracial Brazilians or ''pardos'', may also have a range of degree of African ancestry.
