Taça Rio
Taça Rio, or Rio Trophy, is an annual Rio de Janeiro football tournament. It is the second stage competition of the Campeonato Carioca, the state football championship in Rio de Janeiro. It has been organized since 1982 by the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation. Vasco da Gama is the most successful club in the tournament's history, having won the title eleven times. Format Sixteen teams of the competition are divided into the two same groups of Taça Guanabara, which is previously held. However, unlike Taça Guanabara, each team of Taça Rio play against every team of the other group, rather than teams of the same group, once. The top team from each group play against the second team of the other group in the semi-finals in a single match, with the winner qualified for the final of the competition. 2013 Campeonato Carioca
The 2013 Campeonato Estadual da Serie A de Profissionais do Rio de Janeiro was the 112th season of the top tier football of FFERJ (Federação de Futebol do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, or Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation). The competition began on 19 January and ended on 19 May. Botafogo won. Format The sixteen clubs were divided into two groups that played in two tournaments. The 2022 Campeonato Carioca de Futebol (officially the Cariocão Betfair 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was the 119th edition of the top division of football in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The competition was organized by FERJ. It began on 25 January 2022 and ended on 2 April 2022. Fluminense defeated the defending champions Flamengo on aggregate 3–1 to win their 32nd title. The 2021 Campeonato Carioca de Futebol was the 118th edition of the top division of football in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The competition is organized by FERJ. It began on 16 January 2021 and ended on 22 May 2021. The tournament was played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil. In order to lower the number of matches to be played, this edition of the Campeonato Carioca faced another change in format and regulations. The 2020 Campeonato Carioca de Futebol was the 117th edition of the top division of football in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The competition was organized by FERJ. It began on 22 December 2019 and ended on 15 July 2020. On 16 March 2020, FERJ suspended the Campeonato Carioca indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil. The tournament resumed behind closed doors on 18 June 2020. Flamengo, the defending champions, successfully defended their title after defeating Fluminense 3–1 on aggregate to win their 36th Campeonato Carioca title. The 2017 Rio de Janeiro Soccer Tournament was the 114th edition of the top tier football of FFERJ (Federação de Futebol do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, or Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation). The top four teams competed in the 2017 Brazilian Football Cup. Unlike previous editions of the Tournament, there was a preliminary stage played by the bottom four teams from the previous edition, and the top two teams from the latest edition of ''Série B'' (second tier), totaling six teams. Resende Futebol Clube, commonly known as Resende, is a Brazilian professional football club in Resende, Rio de Janeiro. The team compete in Campeonato Carioca, the top tier of the Rio de Janeiro state football league. History On June 6, 1909, the club was founded. In 2007, Resende beat Mesquita 1–0, thus winning the Campeonato Carioca Second Level, and being promoted to the following year's Campeonato Carioca.
