Tavante Beckett
Tavante Beckett (born October 21, 1997) is an American football linebacker for the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football at Virginia Tech and Marshall. College career Beckett began his collegiate career at Virginia Tech. He was suspended indefinitely after his freshman season following an arrest for marijuana possession and ultimately transferred to Marshall University. Beckett was named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year in his redshirt senior season. Professional career Detroit Lions Beckett signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2021. He was waived on August 31, 2021, during final roster cuts and was re-signed to the practice squad the next day. Beckett was elevated to the active roster on December 5, 2021, for the team's Week 13 game against the Minnesota Vikings and made his NFL debut in the game. The Houston Roughnecks were a professional American football team based in Houston, Texas. The Roughnecks competed in the XFL football league. The team was founded by Vince McMahon’s Alpha Entertainment and were an owned-and-operated by Dwayne Johnson’s Alpha Acquico. The Roughnecks played their home games at TDECU Stadium. The Virginia Tech Hokies football team represents Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in the sport of American football. The Hokies compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. 2024 UFL Dispersal Draft
The 2024 UFL dispersal draft was the player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams for the 2024 UFL season and disperse the rosters from the eight teams from its component conferences, the XFL and USFL, that were not retained in the merger. Process Following the merger of five teams of the XFL and three teams of the USFL into the United Football League (UFL) the UFL announced plans for a dispersal draft for XFL and USFL players on teams that were not joining the UFL. The United States Football League (USFL) is a professional American football minor league that began play on April 16, 2022. The inaugural 2022 regular season was played in its entirety in Birmingham, Alabama. The postseason games were played in Canton, Ohio, at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
