Tatra Beta
The Tatra Beta was an electric car with about 100 cars produced, using nickel-cadmium batteries This electric car was originally created by Å koda ELCAR Ejpovice, and they were also initially manufactured under the Å KODA brand. At that time, the production was directly connected to the production of the Å koda electric car ELTRA, derived from the Å koda Favorit. The car was produced from 1994 to 1999, and had parts taken from the 120L (front turn signals and headlights) and Favorit (chassis, glass, mirrors, handles, locks and interior) and from the Å koda Pick-UP (rear combination lamps). In 1996 the petrol version with Å koda's 1.3 engines also started to be produced. Hyundai Alpha Engine
The Hyundai Alpha series is a multi-valve gasoline inline four-cylinder engine family comprising 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6L naturally aspirated versions and a 1.5L turbocharged version. Introduced in 1992, this was Hyundai's first engine designed entirely in-house and was the first indigenous South Korean engine design. Design objectives were to provide high performance and good fuel economy with excellent durability at a reasonable cost. The first Alpha series engine developed and marketed was a 1.5L SOHC 12-valve inline-four. It was naturally aspirated and debuted in the 1992 Hyundai Scoupe. A 1.3L version debuted later in the Hyundai Accent. A dual overhead camshaft (DOHC), four valve per cylinder version later debuted in the 1996 Hyundai Accent GT. Å koda Favorit
Å koda Favorit is a model name that the Czechoslovakia, Czechoslovak (and now Czech Republic, Czech) car maker Å koda Auto has used for two series of car models. The first series was the Type 904 which was a 1.8 litre car built from 1936 to 1939, and its successor the Type 923 which was a 2.1 litre car built from 1938 to 1941. These two models had little commercial success and were discontinued after only 223 examples had been built. After their commercial failure, Å koda did not use the Favorit model name again for 46 years. The second series is the Type 781 range of Supermini, supermini cars that was made from 1987 to 1995.
