Tatjana Gamerith
Tatjana Gamerith (4 January 1919 – 3 May 2021) was a German-Austrian painter and graphic artist. Life Tatjana Gamerith was born on 4 January 1919 in Berlin to Austrian and Baltic German parents. The family moved to Austria in 1943. After graduating from the Höhere Graphische Bundes-Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt in Vienna, Gamerith initially worked at an armaments factory. She subsequently began designing postcards, and worked as a graphic artist at the Schönbrunn Zoo, where she painted signs that described the animals. She met her future husband in Vienna. An environmental activist, Werner Gamerith, then 20, told Tatjana that he did not care that she was 20 years older than him. In the 1960s, they moved to Waldhausen, where they lived for decades. Living amidst the nature of Waldhausen, Gamerith's life was closely related to art. Schönbrunn Zoo
Schönbrunn Zoo (; also simply called Vienna Zoo) is a 17-hectare (42-acre) zoo in the city of Vienna, Austria. Established in 1752, it is the world’s oldest zoo still in operation. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, being a part of the Schönbrunn Palace gardens. It generally receives more than 2 million visitors every year. Vienna Independent Shorts
Vienna Shorts (formerly known as VIS Vienna Independent Shorts) is an international short film festival held annually in May in Vienna. It is the largest short film festival in Austria. History Vienna Independent Shorts was held in 2004 for the first time. Several Viennese institutions active in the promotion of short films arranged one day of the one-week event. The festival program consisted of 125 short films. Among the venues that have been used continuously since the first festival edition are the Top Kino and the Reformed Church. Since 2005, the festival is hosted the Independent Cinema Association which was founded by the organizers of the first festival edition. For the first time an international competition with 64 films was held.
