Leonid Bujor (27 November 1955 – 6 January 2021) was a Moldovan politician. He was the Minister of Education in the First Vlad Filat Cabinet from 25 September 2009 to 14 January 2011. Biography Leonid Bujor was born on 27 November 1955, in Singureni, Rîşcani. He was a member of the Party Alliance Our Moldova. He was deputy in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova in the Legislature 2005–2009, elected on the lists of the Democratic Moldova Democratic Bloc Party. He was succeeded in the Second Filat Cabinet by Mihail Șleahtițchi. Starting 18 February 2015 till 2 February 2016, he was Deputy Secretary General of the Cabinet of the Republic of Moldova. Glodeni District () is a district () in northwestern Moldova, with its administrative center at Glodeni. , its population was 61,900. The district consists of 35 localities, 18 communes, 16 villages and one city (Glodeni). History The oldest area in the district is the Cobani, which dates back to June 3, 1374. Other old localities include Balatina, Camenca, Cuhnești, and Iabloana, founded between 1429 and 1442. During the 15th–17th centuries Glodeni continued to develop as a trade and economic region, with a significant increase in population. In 1616, a district center was documented as Glodeni. Moldovans, sometimes referred to as Moldavians ( ro, moldoveni , Moldovan Cyrillic: молдовень), are a Romance-speaking ethnic group and the largest ethnic group of the Republic of Moldova (75.1% of the population as of 2014) and a significant minority in Ukraine and Russia. Maia Sandu (; born 24 May 1972) is a Moldovan politician who has been the President of Moldova since 24 December 2020. She is the former leader of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) and former Prime Minister of Moldova from 8 June 2019 until 14 November 2019. On 12 November 2019, Sandu's government collapsed after a vote of no-confidence, with 63 (deputies from PSRM and PDM) of the 101 MPs having voted on the motion submitted by the PSRM.
