Tata Altroz EV
The Tata Altroz is a subcompact car/supermini manufactured by Tata Motors. The Altroz was revealed at the 89th Geneva International Motor Show alongside the new Buzzard, Buzzard Sport, and H2X compact SUV concept. It was launched to the Indian market on 22 January 2020. The name "Altroz" was inspired by name of bird species, Albatross. At present, the Altroz has three engines on offer, which are 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol, 1.5-litre turbodiesel and a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol. There is a 5-speed manual transmission on offer, with an optional wet-clutch DCT automatic known as Altroz DCA. The Latin New Car Assessment Programme (Latin NCAP) is an automobile safety assessment programme for Latin America and the Caribbean. Founded in 2010, it offers independent information to consumers about the safety levels of new cars in the market. Latin NCAP tests are based in international renown methodologies, with vehicles awarded with a safety rating between 0 and 5 stars, indicating the protection the cars offer to adult and child occupants. The programme started as a joint initiative and in 2014 it was established as an association under a legal entity framework. The Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP) is a project of the Towards Zero Foundation, a UK-registered charity. The programme aims to promote the sale of safer cars in developing markets by empowering consumers with objective information about the safety of vehicles. Tata Tiago is a city car made by Tata Motors in India since 2016. It is derived from the Tata Kite project. The Tiago was previously announced as the Tata Zica, with "Zica" short for "zippy car", but it was changed because the launch of the car coincide with the outbreak of Zika virus. Tiago, a common Portuguese masculine name, was picked from suggestions solicited online. History Tata Tiago was born as the successor of the previous Tata Bolt, which was nothing but a heavy restyling of Tata Indica Vista. Tata Tigor
The Tata Tigor is a subcompact sedan manufactured by Tata Motors in India based on the Tata Tiago hatchback. It was launched in India in March 2017. History The Tata Tigor was born directly from the same project that originated the Tata Tiago (internally called Kite 5) as it represents the four-door sedan version with a third rear volume. A concept car (also known as a concept vehicle, show vehicle or prototype) is a car made to showcase new styling and/or new technology. They are often exhibited at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not be mass-produced.
