Tasso Koutsoukos
Tasso Koutsoukos (born April 4, 195is a retired Canadian soccer player who played professionally in the North American Soccer League, Major Indoor Soccer League and Canadian Soccer League. He also coached in the Montreal Impact in the National Professional Soccer League. Player Koutsoukos played collegiate soccer at UMass Amherst from 1977 to 1979. He was a 1977 Honorable Mention (third team) All American. In 1980, the Chicago Sting selected Koutsoukos in the North American Soccer League draft. He played two outdoor and two indoor seasons with the Sting. In 1982, he began the season with Chicago. On June 13, 1982, the Sting traded Koutsoukos to the Tulsa Roughnecks in exchange for Tim Twellman and John Tyma. In the fall of 1982, he returned to the Sting which was playing in the Major Indoor Soccer League. In 1983, Tasso played for FC Inter Montreal. Chicago Sting (MISL) Players
The Chicago Sting (1974–1988) was an American professional soccer team representing Chicago. The Sting played in the North American Soccer League from 1975 to 1984 and in the Major Indoor Soccer League in the 1982–83 season and again from 1984 to 1988. They were North American Soccer League champions in 1981 and 1984, one of only two NASL teams (the New York Cosmos) to win the championship twice. The Sting were founded in 1974 by Lee Stern of Chicago and competed in the NASL for the first time in the 1975 season. A few years after founding the Sting, Stern brought Willy Roy on as head coach. Montreal Impact (1992–2011)
The Montreal Impact (french: Impact de Montréal) was a Canadian professional association football, soccer club based in Montreal, Quebec. Founded in 1993, the team played in the United Soccer League. Later, the Impact played in the North American Soccer League (2011), North American Soccer League (NASL), the second tier of the American Soccer Pyramid until the 2011 season. The owner Joey Saputo now operates the Major League Soccer, MLS team CF Montréal, which also carried the Montreal Impact name until 2021. The team played its home games at Complexe Sportif Claude-Robillard until 2008 when it moved to the new Saputo Stadium where it played until its move to MLS. The team's colours were blue and white. John Bain (soccer)
John Bain (born 3 June 1957 in Falkirk, Scotland) is a Scottish retired-US soccer midfielder who currently coaches youth soccer in the United States. Bain began his professional career in England before moving to the United States in 1978. Over his twenty-year playing career, Bain played for numerous leagues and teams, both indoors and out. After retiring from playing professionally, he has coached at the professional, youth club and high school levels in the US.
