The Tasmanian Legislative Council has fifteen single member constituencies, called divisions. A map is a symbolic depiction emphasizing relationships between elements of some space, such as objects, regions, or themes. Many maps are static, fixed to paper or some other durable medium, while others are dynamic or interactive. Electoral Division Of Windermere
The electoral division of Windermere is one of the 15 electorates or 'seats' in the Tasmanian Legislative Council. The division is located on the East side of the Tamar River, Tasmania, Tamar River. It is named after the town of Windermere which is located along the banks of the river between Launceston, Tasmania, Launceston and George Town, Tasmania, George Town. Within the electorate are the towns of George Town, Tasmania, George Town, Low Head, Tasmania, Low Head, Windermere, Dilston, Relbia, Hillwood and Bell Bay. The Launceston, Tasmania, Launceston suburbs of Rocherlea, Newnham, Mowbray, Mayfield, Ravenswood, St Leonards, Elphin and Waverley. Electoral Division Of Rumney
The electoral division of Rumney is one of the 15 electoral divisions in the Tasmanian Legislative Council (upper house). The division is located in Southern Tasmania to the east of the division of Pembroke. The electorate is named after Mount Rumney in outer Hobart. The division covers an area of 434 km2 and includes a number of outer Hobart localities including; Lauderdale, Rokeby, Cambridge, Midway Point and Richmond. Electoral Division Of Rosevears
The electoral division of Rosevears is one of the 15 electorates or 'seats' in the Tasmanian upper house. The division is located on the west side of the Tamar River. It is named after the town of Rosevears which is located on the river banks near Exeter. The electoral boundaries include the towns of Exeter, Rowella, Sidmouth, Legana, Bridgenorth, Gravelly Beach, Greens Beach, Beaconsfield, Glengarry, Beauty point and Clarence point. The division also includes the Launceston suburbs of West Launceston, Riverside, Summerhill, Trevallyn and Glen Dhu. The current sitting member for Rosevears is Liberal member Jo Palmer who has held the seat since 2020. The next election in Rosevears is due in 2026. Electoral Division Of Prosser
The electoral division of Prosser is one of the fifteen electorates in the Tasmanian Legislative Council, it includes the south-east coast of Tasmania, the Sorell township and the Tasman Peninsula. Prosser is named after the Prosser River, which flows through the centre of the division. Their current MLC is Jane Howlett, a member of the Liberal Party, who was first elected in 2018. History and electoral profile The division was created following the 2016–17 Legislative Council redistribution process. The new name of Prosser was adopted to avoid confusion because of the significant changes made to the electoral boundaries in the region. Electoral Division Of Pembroke
The electoral division of Pembroke is one of the 15 electorates or 'seats' in the Tasmanian Legislative Council or upper house. It is located on Hobart's Eastern Shore (east side of the Derwent River) and includes a number of suburbs; Risdon Vale, Geilston Bay, Rose Bay, Lindisfarne, Warrane, Mornington, Bellerive, Howrah and Tranmere. In earlier times, the division included most of the east coast of Tasmania as far north as Bicheno, including the Tasman Peninsula. The electorate takes its name from a county which was created in Tasmania by early British settlers. The division and the former county both took their name from Pembrokeshire in Wales.
