Tarzan (2003 TV Series)
''Tarzan'' is an American adventure-drama television series that premiered on The WB on October 5, 2003, and ended on November 23, 2003. Based on the Tarzan series by Edgar Rice Burroughs and developed by Eric Kripke, Mike Werb and Michael Colleary, the show was set in New York City and depicted modern-day adaptations of Burroughs' characters. In December 2003, the series was canceled after eight episodes. Synopsis and creator commentary NYPD detective Jane Porter's ordinary life is disrupted when a routine case unexpectedly leads her to John Clayton, who prefers to be called Tarzan. Robert McLachlan (cinematographer)
Robert McLachlan is a Canadian cinematographer. A successful cyclist in his youth, McLachlan quit the sport to take up cinematography, and entered the field after studying at Simon Fraser University, McLachlan was mentored by Richard Leiterman. His professional career began with documentary work for Greenpeace, before he became involved in both television and feature films; his work has subsequently earned him several industry awards and award nominations. McLachlan, who was inspired by both his father's photography and his own appreciation for the films ''Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid'' and ''Walkabout'' to choose his career path, would go on to find recognition as the chief cinematographer for the television series ''Millennium'', for which he was scouted specifically. Jane Porter (Tarzan)
Jane Porter (later Jane Clayton, Lady Greystoke) is a fictional character in Edgar Rice Burroughs's series of Tarzan novels and in adaptations of the saga to other media, particularly film. Jane, from Baltimore, Maryland, is the daughter of professor Archimedes Q. Porter. She becomes the love interest and later the wife of Tarzan, and subsequently the mother of their son Korak. The WB
The WB Television Network (for Warner Bros., or the "Frog Network", for its former mascot, Michigan J.
