Tarun Kumar (cricketer)
Tarun Kumar (born 28 December 1974) is a former Indian cricketer. Kumar was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium. He was born in Yarpur, Bihar. Kumar made his first-class debut for Bihar in the 1992–93 Ranji Trophy against Tripura. He played a further 16 matches for the state from 1992 to 2002. He also represented East Zone in five match in the during the 1993–94 and 1994–95 Duleep Trophy. Across the 22 matches he scored 2 centuries and averaged 27.56 with the bat. He played also played List A cricket for the state and zone from 1993 to 1997. Debuting for the East Zone in the 1993–94 Deodhar Trophy against Central Zone he played six matches for the region. The Vijay Hazare Trophy, (officially known as Mastercard Vijay Hazare trophy for sponsorship reasons) also known as the Ranji One-Day Trophy, is an annual limited-overs cricket domestic competition involving state teams from the Ranji Trophy plates organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Deodhar Trophy
The Deodhar Trophy, also known as Mastercard Devdhar trophy due to sponsorship reasons (also spelled Devdhar Trophy), is a List A cricket domestic cricket tournament of India. It is named after D. B. Deodhar (known as the Grand Old Man of Indian cricket) and is a 50-over knockout competition played on an annual basis among the 3 national level teams - India A, India B and India C. India B are the current champions, winning the 2019-20 after defeating India C by 51 runs in the final. In cricket, a player's batting average is the total number of runs they have scored divided by the number of times they have been out, usually given to two decimal places. Since the number of runs a player scores and how often they get out are primarily measures of their own playing ability, and largely independent of their teammates, batting average is a good metric for an individual player's skill as a batter (although the practice of drawing comparisons between players on this basis is not without criticism). In cricket, a century is a score of 100 or more runs in a single innings by a batsman.
