Tarnitz
The Tarnitz is a tributary of the Löcknitz in southwest Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and north Brandenburg in Germany. The roughly river has its source in a small, wooded area on the municipal boundary between Muchow and Stolpe at an elevation of about above sea level. From here the Tarnitz flows initially for about a kilometre in a southwestern and then southern direction, running east of the villages of Muchow and Zierzow. In the parish of Prislich meadows and larger woods frame its river banks, otherwise it runs almost entirely through arable fields from which many ditches drain into the Tarnitz. On the state border between Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Brandenburg it is joined from the west by the Meynbach. From here on the Tarnitz in a southeasterly direction on Brandenburg territory, then forms a short section of the state border and discharges into the Löcknitz near Streesow. Meynbach
Meynbach is a river of northeastern Germany. It flows from its source near Hühnerland in a generally western direction along the border between Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It flows into the Alte Elde near Krinitz. A branch of the Meynbach flows from Hühnerland to the east, and joins the Tarnitz north of Reckenzin. Löcknitz (river)
Löcknitz is a river in northern Germany (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Brandenburg and a few kilometres in Lower Saxony). The Löcknitz is a right tributary of the Elbe, its total length is . The Löcknitz originates south of Parchim, and flows through Karstädt, Lenzen, and Dömitz. The Löcknitz joins the Elbe in (part of Amt Neuhaus), a few kilometres downstream from Dömitz. A different river Löcknitz arises in a protected valley in Eastern Brandenburg, contributing to Spree and then into Havel and Elbe as well. Muchow
Muchow is a municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Löcknitz is a municipality in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in north-eastern Germany, located in the historic region of Pomerania, west of the German-Polish border and west of Szczecin.
