Tarik Phillip
Tarik Phillip (born August 10, 1993) is a British-American professional basketball player for the London Lions of the British Basketball League (BBL) and the EuroCup. He played college basketball for West Virginia. Early life and high school Phillip was born in Brooklyn to a Grenadian father and an English mother. He began high school at Christ the King Regional High School in Middle Village, Queens before transferring to Brooklyn College Academy before his sophomore year and helped lead the team to the Public Schools Athletic League title in his first season with the Bobcats. Phillip did not play basketball as a senior due to eligibility issues and completed a fifth year at Queen City Prep in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Great Britain men's national basketball team (also known as GB Basketball or GB) represents Great Britain in international basketball competitions. The national team is administered by British Basketball. The current governing body for the Great Britain team was formed by the national federations of England (Basketball England), Scotland (Basketballscotland), and Wales (Basketball Wales) on 1 December 2006. Prior to the merger, England, Scotland, and Wales competed independently during international play except for Olympic events. The Nemzeti Bajnokság I/A ( en, National Championship I/A, commonly abbreviated NB I/A) is the highest level league of club men's basketball in Hungary. Format The league comprises 14 teams. A NB I/A season is split into a league stage and a playoff/playout stage. At the end of the league stage (14 teams) the top 5 teams play another league stage, another 5 play with each other, and then the top 8 teams qualify for the playoff stage.
