Tarif Ahmed
Tarif Saikh Ahmed (born 2 May 1982) is a former Indian professional footballer who played as a striker. He spent most of his career with Mumbai based club ONGC. He had also played for Mohun Bagan, Mohammedan S.C., Tollygunge Agragami, and Mahindra United. Ahmed also played internationally for India from 2006 to 2007. Club career Born in Kolkata, West Bengal, Ahmed began his career with National Football League side Mohun Bagan after coming through their youth side. After just one season however, Ahmed left Mohun Bagan to join local rivals Mohammedan. He spent one season with Mohammedan before moving once again to Tollygunge Agragami. He scored his first goal in the National Football League with Tollygunge on 10 April 2005. His 83rd minute goal against Churchill Brothers however was not enough as his side would lose 2–4. Sporting Clube de Goa, simply known as Sporting Goa (also known by its abbreviation SCG), is an Indian professional football club based in Panaji, in the Indian state of Goa, that competes in Goa Professional League. 2010 I-League 2nd Division
The 2010 I-League 2nd division was the third season of the second tier of the I-League, the highest football league in India. It commenced on 26 March 2010 with the first matches of the first round and ended in early May 2010 with the last matches of the promotion round. The Nehru Cup was an international association football tournament organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), named after the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. It was launched in 1982, but was not held from 1998 to 2006. Jewel Raja Shaikh (born 19 January 1990) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for South United in the I-League 2nd Division. Career Early career Born in Budge Budge, Kolkata, Jewel though had a keen interest in cricket and wanted to become a cricketer when he was younger but chose to play football professionally. The 2007 AFC Asian Cup qualification was held in late 2005 and the final qualification round was held from February to November 2006 with 25 nations participating.
