Taraclia County
Taraclia County ( ro, Județul Taraclia, bg, Тараклия окръг) was a counties of Moldova, county (Romanian language, Romanian: ''județ'') in Moldova from 1999 to 2003. It was established on 22 October 1999. It borders Ukraine, Lăpușna County (Moldova), Lăpușna County and Chișinău County. Its capital is the city of Taraclia. Taraclia County had 26 localities. It was founded following the Russo-Turkish War of 1828–1829 by Bulgarian refugees from Tvarditsa, a town just south of the Balkan Mountains, and the surrounding region.
