Neal Tapio (born September 19, 1970) is an American businessman, South Dakota state senator, and a former candidate for U.S. Representative for . Tapio gained attention as an early supporter of Donald Trump and served as the Trump presidential campaign director for South Dakota. Early life and education Neal Tapio was born in Watertown, South Dakota. Tapio graduated from Watertown High School in Watertown, South Dakota in 1988. Tapio attended Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minnesota where he graduated in 1992 with a Bachelors in Business Administration. Tapio, directly out of college, worked as a staff assistant to then-U.S. Senator Larry Pressler in Washington, D.C. for two years. Nina Tapio
Nina Tapio (born February 24, 1972) is a Finnish singer, songwriter, musical actor, and session musician. Her singing career started at the age of five, when she sang on a children's record. Tapio studied at Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory where she got a degree as a teacher of singing. In 1994 she started the band Taikapeili together with Hanna-Riikka Siitonen, publishing three albums until 1999. In 1998 and 2003 she also recorded two albums with Adiemus. In 2005 Tapio sung background vocals for Geir Rönning in the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest. She was also on the jury of the Finnish television show Idols the same year, and continued in the 2006–2007 season. She was invited to the Finnish prescreening for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest together with Hanna-Riikka Siitonen, but they did not attend. Kari Tapani Jalkanen (22 November 1945 – 7 December 2010), better known by his stage name Kari Tapio, was a Finnish schlager and country & western singer. During his career, he was one of the most popular singers in Finland for decades; having sold over 830,000 certified records (during his career and posthumously), he is the best-selling soloist in the country. Kari Tapio was born in Suonenjoki, Finland. In the 1960s he performed in his home town Pieksämäki with the local bands ER-Quartet and Jami & The Noisemakers. In 1966 he took singing lessons from Ture Ara. After Kari Tapio's first single ''"Tuuli kääntyköön"/"Niskavuoren nuorimmainen"'' in 1972, he performed in Ilkka "Danny" Lipsanen's show.
