Taoyuan Metro
The Taoyuan Metro (formerly Taoyuan Rail Transit and officially Taoyuan Mass Rapid Transit System) is a rapid transit system serving Taoyuan City in Taiwan. The most recently proposed network includes 11 lines and extensions, of which 2 are now under construction. The Taoyuan Airport MRT (Taipei Main Station - Huanbei) is the only line currently in operation. The system opened with the opening of the first line in the system, Taoyuan Airport MRT, for trial passenger service on 2 February 2017 and revenue passenger service on 2 March 2017. Huanbei Metro Station
Huanbei () is a station on the Taoyuan Airport MRT located in Zhongli, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. It opened for commercial service on 2 March 2017 and currently serves as the western terminus of the line. Overview This underground station has one island platform with two tracks. Only Commuter trains stop at this station. The station is long and wide. It opened for trial service on 2 February 2017, and for commercial service 2 March 2017. It is a planned transfer station with the Taoyuan Metro Orange Line (O09). Construction on the station began on 12 December 2007, and opened for commercial service on 2 March 2017 with the opening of the Taipei-Huanbei section of the Airport MRT. Western Line, Taiwan
Western Trunk line () is a railway line of the Taiwan Railways Administration in western Taiwan. It is by far the busiest line, having served over 171 million passengers in 2016. The total length of the line is 404.5 km. The line is an official classification of physical tracks and does not correspond to particular services. It is connected to Taichung line (''mountain line''; ) at Zhunan and Changhua. Many services turn inland to take the Taichung route, then reconnect back to the main line (West Coast line). Rail transport in Taiwan consists of (as of 2015) of railway networks. Though no longer as dominant as it once was, rail transport is an extremely important form of transportation in Taiwan due to high population density, especially along the densely populated western corridor. In 2016, over 1.09 billion passengers traveled by rail in Taiwan, averaging 2.99 million passengers per day. The railways of Taiwan include conventional rail, rapid transit systems, and high-speed rail, as well as specialized railways for tourists and industry. Taiwan Railways Administration is an associate member and Taiwan High Speed Rail is an active member of the International Union of Railways (UIC), even though Taiwan does not have state membership. Huilong Metro Station
The Taipei Metro Huilong station is a station on the Xinzhuang Line located in Xinzhuang, New Taipei City, and Guishan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. It is the western terminus of the Xinzhuang Line and opened on Jun 29, 2013. It will be a terminus on the Wanda-Zhonghe-Shulin line in 2028. Station overview This two-level, underground station has an island platform. It is located beneath Zhongzheng Rd. near Losheng Sanatorium, adjoining the Xinzhuang Depot. Taoyuan Railway Station
Taoyuan () is a railway station in Taoyuan, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railways Administration. The station was the second busiest station in 2020 in terms of passenger volume, behind Taipei. The Taoyuan MRT is planned to be extended to Taoyuan. Structure There is one island platform and two side platforms. The side platform of Linkou line is outside the station owing to free service. The station is undergoing a massive construction as of 2015. Two elevated island platforms will be built to replace the existing platforms. The tracks for two Taoyuan MRT underground lines are also being built. Because of the construction, the station is temporarily relocated until 2020, when the new platforms and tracks are expected to be completed.
