Tanya Neiman
Tanya Marie Neiman (June 28, 1949 – February 27, 2006) was an American lawyer and activist based in San Francisco. For over 20 years, she was director of the Volunteer Legal Services Program of the Bar Association of San Francisco, now known as the Justice & Diversity Center, "one of the largest and most innovative legal services programs in the country to serve lower-income people". Early life and education Neiman was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in California, the daughter of Max Neiman and Helen Lamaga Neiman.. She graduated from John H. Francis Polytechnic High School in 1966, earned a bachelor's degree in economics, philosophy, and politics from Mills College in 1970, and earned a Juris Doctor degree from University of California, Hastings College of the Law. The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) was established in 1872 as a nonprofit legal membership organization that provides San Francisco legal professionals with networking, educational and pro bono opportunities in order to better serve the community. San Francisco City Hall is the seat of government for the City and County of San Francisco, California. Gavin Christopher Newsom (born October 10, 1967) is an American politician and businessman who has been the 40th governor of California since 2019. Ovarian Cancer
Ovarian cancer is a cancerous tumor of an ovary. It may originate from the ovary itself or more commonly from communicating nearby structures such as fallopian tubes or the inner lining of the abdomen. The ovary is made up of three different cell types including epithelial cells, germ cells, and stromal cells. When these cells become abnormal, they have the ability to divide and form tumors. These cells can also invade or spread to other parts of the body. When this process begins, there may be no or only vague symptoms. Symptoms become more noticeable as the cancer progresses. These symptoms may include bloating, vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, abdominal swelling, constipation, and loss of appetite, among others.
