The ''Tanya'' () is an early work of Hasidic philosophy, by Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, the founder of Chabad Hasidism, first published in 1796. Its formal title is ''Likkutei Amarim'' (, Hebrew language, Hebrew, "collection of statements"), but is more commonly known by its first Hebrew word ''tanya'', which means "it has been taught", where he refers to a baraita section in Niddah (Talmud), "Niddah", at the end of chapter 3, 30b. Tanya is composed of five sections that define Hasidic mystical psychology and theology as a handbook for daily spiritual life in Jewish observance. The ''Tanya'' is the main work of the Chabad philosophy and the Chabad approach to Jewish mysticism, Hasidic mysticism, as it defines its general interpretation and method. Silvana Savorelli (30 April 1945 – 8 May 2018), professionally known as Lara Saint Paul, was an Italian Eritrean singer, entertainer, impresario and record producer. Sanremo Music Festival Saint Paul's first public performance was in 1962 at the Festival della canzone italiana, also known as the Sanremo Music Festival, in Italy. She went by the name of 'Tanya' and performed the ballad "I colori della felicità". Adopting the stage name Lara Saint Paul, she performed in the 1966 Festival delle Rose with the song ''Il pieno'' and was a finalist in the 1967 Festival della Canzone Napoletana for her performance of ''Te faie desidera. Her first big success arrived when she returned to the Sanremo Music Festival in 1968 as one of the two performers of the song ''Mi va di cantare''. The other performer was Louis Armstrong, and they performed alongside Lionel Hampton. Created by Ed Boon and John Tobias, the series depicts conflicts between various realms. Most characters fight on behalf of their realm, with the primary heroes defending Earthrealm against conquering villains from Outworld and the Netherrealm. Early installments feature the characters participating in the eponymous Mortal Kombat tournament to decide their realm's fate. In later installments, Earthrealm is often invaded by force. Tanya (1902–1929) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse bred and raised in Kentucky. She was bred by William Collins Whitney and foaled at his Brookdale Farm in Lincroft, New Jersey. Sired by the outstanding English stallion Meddler, she was out of the mare Handspun. Before Tanya could set foot on a track, William Whitney died. She, along with several other racers for the Whitney stable, was leased to Herman Duryea. As a 2-year-old, she won the Hopeful Stakes, the National Stallion Stakes, and the Spinaway Stakes under his colors. 1905 Belmont Stakes Tanya is best known as one of three fillies to win the Belmont Stakes. Purchased for $7,000 by Whitney's son, Harry Payne Whitney, Tanya was trained by future Hall of Fame inductee John W. Rogers. Ridden by the 1904 U. S. ''Tanya'' is the twenty-fourth studio album by American country music artist Tanya Tucker. It was released on September 24, 2002 via her own Tuckertime label and Capitol Nashville. The highest charting Billboard Country Single was the #34 "A Memory Like I'm Gonna Be." Other noteworthy songs include "Old Weakness (Coming On Strong)," (a minor Billboard #49 Country Single) and "I Can Live Without You (But Not Very Long)" and "I Can Do That." The album peaked at #39 on the Country Albums chart. Two of this album's tracks — "Old Weakness (Coming On Strong)" and "Over My Shoulder" — were originally recorded by Patty Loveless on her 1994 album ''When Fallen Angels Fly''. The former song was recorded by Delbert McClinton and Greg Holland as well.
