Tanja Damaske
Tanja Damaske (born 16 November 1971 in East Berlin) is a retired German track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw. She is best known for winning the gold medal at the 1998 European Championships. The German Athletics Championships (german: Deutsche Leichtathletik-Meisterschaften) are the national championships in athletics of Germany, organised annually by the Deutscher Leichtathletik-Verband. The competition features track and field events. Separate championships are held for non-track events, including the German Cross Country Championships, German Marathon Championships and German Race Walking Championships.
