''Tangsir'' is a film directed by Amir Naderi. Behruz Vosoughi is the leading actor playing the role of Zar Mohammad (or Shir Mohammad). This film was based on a novel written by Sadeq Chubak. Amir Naderi ( fa, امیر نادری (), born 15 August 1946, in Abadan) is an Iranian film director, screenwriter, and photographer. He is best known for '' The Runner'' and ''Vegas: Based on a True Story''. Career Amir Naderi grew up in Abadan, a working-class port city in the south of Iran. He became interested in photography and cinema at an early age. As a filmmaker he was inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson's photography of urban experience and everyday life, as well as the aesthetics of Italian neorealist cinema, such as location shooting, the use of nonprofessional actors, looser narrative structures, and a focus on the plight of poor and working-class people. Naderi's early films explored similar themes and visual strategies, but they did so within the context of Iranian life and culture. Naderi made his directorial debut with ''Goodbye Friend'' in 1971. Tangsir (novel)
''Tangsir'' (also transliterated as ''Tangseer'', in Persian: تنگسیر) is a Persian novel written by Iranian writer Sadeq Chubak. ''Tangsir'' was the author's first novel. The book recounts the valorous acts of the fighters of Tangestan (a region near Bushehr province). Background Chubak was a translator of western novels and stories into Persian. Before writing ''Tangsir''. The author translated books including ''Pinocchio'' and some of Eugene O'Neill's plays. ''Tangsir''s events have really occurred in Bushehr in the past. Sadeq Chubak
Sādeq Chubak ( fa, صادق چوبک, sometimes Sādegh Choubak; August 5, 1916 July 3, 1998), was an Iranian author of short fiction, drama, and novels. His short stories are characterized by their intricacy, economy of detail, and concentration on a single theme, leading some to compare them to Persian miniature paintings. Choubak was a naturalist, and his novels reflected the dark side of society. He was a very close friend of Sadegh Hedayat who was an influential writer at that time. Biography Sadeq Chubak was born in Bushehr, where he first studied before moving to Shiraz and then Tehran. For some time he was employed by the Ministry of Education and the Oil Company. His work has earned him recognition at several international film festivals, including for Best Actor at the International Film Festival of India in 1974 and San Francisco International Film Festival in 2006. Personal life Behrouz was born in Khoy, Iran. He moved to Tehran when he was in his teenage years. He has two brothers: Changiz Vossoughi and Shahrad Vossoughi. Parviz Fannizadeh ( fa, پرویز فنیزاده, January 27, 1938 – February 24, 1980) was an Iranian actor, film and television star. He was one of Iran's first method actors. Fanizadeh is best known for his roles as Mash Ghaasem in ''My Uncle Napoleon'' aka '' Daii jan Napelon'' and Hekmati in ِ''Downpour''. Career Fannizadeh was born and raised in Tehran. He had a passion for acting and started his career at an early age. He graduated from the Iranian Academy of the Dramatic Arts in 1961. In 1966 he played his first role.
