Artificial Lake

South Korea

Chungju Dam
The Chungju Dam is a gravity dam on the Namhan River, northeast of Chungju in Chungcheongbuk-do Province, South Korea. The purpose of the dam is flood control, water supply and hydroelectric Hydroelectricity, or hydroelectric power, is electricity generated from hydropower (water power). The 2013 World Rowing Championships were World Rowing Championships that were held from 25 August to 1 September 2013 at Tangeum Lake, Chungju in South Korea.
