Tangenta ( eng. Tangent) is seventh studio album by Macedonian band Leb i sol. The album was released in 1984 for Jugoton and it was originally available on cassette and vinyl. The reissue of the album on CD was released in 2006 box set by Croatia Records. Background After huge success of Kalabalak in 1983, 66% of band including Vlatko himself, had gone to do military service. After that, group reunited for the new album. Album received mixed reviews and concerts were least visited than earlier years. Biggest hit from this album is "Kontakt je skup" (Contact is expensive). Album The material was recorded in the Belgrade studio Aquarius, and the producer was Kevin Ayers. It was Ayers who gave the album the name Tangenta, and the reason was that the group's music touched on different styles. The biggest hit from this album is the track Contact is expensive. Leb I Sol
Leb i sol ( mk, Леб и сол) is a Macedonian and former Yugoslav rock group founded in the 1970s by Vlatko Stefanovski (guitar), Bodan Arsovski (bass guitar), Nikola Kokan Dimuševski (keyboards) and Garabet Tavitjan (drums). Tavitjan ceded the drumwork to Dragoljub Đuričić for some of the albums, while Kiril Džajkovski replaced Kokan on ''Kao Kakao'' and ''Putujemo''. Beside being the most eminent Macedonian band, they were also one of the most important acts of the Yugoslav rock scene. History "Leb i sol" is a traditional greeting which literally translates to "bread and salt". It is often used as an expression of spite or determination; e.g. "I will eat ''bread and salt'' if I have to, but I will not give in!", but that has nothing to do with the band's name. Vladimir "Vlatko" Stefanovski ( mk, Влатко Стефановски ) is a Macedonian ethno-rock jazz fusion guitar virtuoso. Biography Vlatko was born into a typical theatrical family. His parents, as artists, often traveled, so soon Stefanovski moved to Skopje, in the neighborhood Taftalidze. Vlatko Stefanovski lives with his family (consisting of daughter Ana and son Jan) in Skopje. His son (Jan Stefanovski) is a drummer in V.S.Trio (from 2021) Born in Prilep on 24 January 1957, he started playing guitar at the age of 13. Stefanovski was one of the founding members of Leb i sol with whom he recorded 13 albums between 1978 and 1991. Jugoton was the largest record label and chain record store in the former Yugoslavia based in Zagreb, SR Croatia. History Jugoton was formed in 1947. Lazar "Laza" Ristovski (Serbian Cyrillic: Лаза Ристовски, ; 23 January 1956 – 6 October 2007) was a Serbian and former Yugoslav keyboardist, known for being a member of rock bands Smak and Bijelo Dugme, as well as for his eclectic solo work that spanned many different musical genres.
