Tang Liangzhi
Tang Liangzhi (; born 12 June 1960) is a Chinese politician who is the current party branch secretary of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He was previously mayor of Chongqing from January 2018 to December 2021, party secretary of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, and mayor of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei. Biography Tang was born in Honghu, Hubei Province. He attended the Huazhong Technology University, where he specialized in solid-state electronics. After graduating in 1983, he was sent to work for a research institute under the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications. In 1985, he returned to Wuhan to become a technician at a local research institute. In 1987, he joined the inaugural staff of the East Lake Development Area in Wuhan. Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference
The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC, zh, 中国人民政治协商会议), also known as the People's PCC (, ) or simply the PCC (), is a political advisory body in the People's Republic of China and a central part of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s United Front system. Its members advise and put proposals for political and social issues to government bodies. However, the CPPCC is a body without real legislative power. While consultation does take place, it is supervised and directed by the CCP. The body traditionally consists of delegates from the CCP and its front organizations, eight legally-permitted political parties subservient to the CCP, as well as nominally independent members. Honghu
Honghu () is a county-level city in the municipal region of Jingzhou, in the south of Hubei province. The city lies on the northwest (left) bank of the Yangtze River, across from Hunan Province and Xianning, Hubei. It is named after the adjacent Hong Lake, which since ancient times has periodically flooded. The traditional Chinese holiday, Dragon Boat Festival, celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, features boat races which are run on Hong Lake. Ren Xuefeng
Ren Xuefeng (; 26 October 1965 – 31 October 2019) was a Chinese politician and business executive. Ren was an early leader of the Binhai New Area in Tianjin and served as the city's vice-mayor for eight years. He was transferred to Guangdong province in 2014, where he served as Communist Party Secretary of Guangzhou and Deputy Party Secretary of Guangdong. He was appointed Deputy Party Secretary of Chongqing in October 2018, but died in office a year later at age 54. Xiangyang
Xiangyang is a prefecture-level city in northwestern Hubei province, China and the second largest city in Hubei by population. It was known as Xiangfan from 1950 to 2010. The Han River runs through Xiangyang's centre and divides the city north–south. The city itself is an agglomeration of two once separate cities: Fancheng and Xiangyang (or Xiangcheng), and was known as Xiangfan before 2010.
