Tando Allahyar District
Tando Allahyar District ( sd, ٽنڊوالهيار ضلعو, ur, ) is a district in the province of Sindh in Pakistan. Prior to becoming a separate district, it was part of Hyderabad District. History The city of Tando Allahyar, was established with the construction of a fort by Mir Allahyar Khan Talpur in 1709. A large number of people seeking security and refuge moved to this area under the protection of the Mir, booming the trade in the region. As the city developed over the next decade, the area started to be known as Allahyar Jo Tando (Allahyar's Town). The shrine of legendary Sindhi folk wisdom character and Sufi poet Watayu Faqeer is also situated in Kuba Shareef near Rashidabad. In 1906 during the British Raj, a railway station was constructed in Allahyar Jo Tando. The station increased the district's importance as an agro-trading hub. List Of Districts In Sindh
There are thirty districts in the Pakistan province of Sindh. These districts together contain 119 tehsils, 1100 Union Councils and 66,923 human settlements, as per the 1998 census. Each district has a headquarter, often referred to as a capital of the district. Karachi, the capital of Sindh, is the most populous city district, as well as the most densely populated. A tehsil (, also known as tahsil, taluka, or taluk) is a local unit of administrative division in some countries of South Asia. It is a subdistrict of the area within a district including the designated populated place that serves as its administrative centre, with possible additional towns, and usually a number of villages. The union councils of Pakistan ( ur, ), referred to as village councils in villages, are an elected local government body consisting of 21 councillors, and headed by a Nazim which is equivalent to a mayor or chairperson and a Naib Nazib (vice chairperson). As of 2007, there are 5,375 rural union councils across 115 districts. They form the third-tier of local government and fifth tier overall. Its structure and responsibilities differ between provinces and territories. Village Banking
Village banking is a microcredit methodology whereby financial services are administered locally rather than centralized in a formal bank. Village banking has its roots in ancient cultures and was most recently adopted for use by micro-finance institutions (MFIs) as a way to control costs. Early MFI village banking methods were innovated by Grameen Bank and then later developed by groups such as FINCA International founder John Hatch. Buzdar (tribe)
Buzdar () is a clan of Baloch tribe Rind, living in Balochistan, Sindh and Punjab provinces of Pakistan. They mostly live in Koh Suleiman. Buzdar people also live in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iran, UAE and Afghanistan. The population of Buzdar tribe 900,000 people. Sardar Usman Buzdar is current Tumandar of Buzdar tribe. Tando Muhammad Khan District ( sd, ٽنڊو محمد خان ضلعو, ur, ) is a district in the southern part of Sindh province in Pakistan. In north of the district, Hyderabad and Tando Allahyar districts are located; Badin district lies on south and east; and West boundary is shared with Sujawal District. The Indus River flows through Northwest. Matiari District
Matiari District ( sd, ضلعو مٽیاري, ur, ) is a district in the Pakistani province of Sindh. Located on the left bank of the Indus River, Matiari became an independent district in 2004 under the military regime of Pervez Musharraf, when Hyderabad was divided into four districts — Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Tando Mohammad Khan and Hyderabad. Etymology Matiari word is derived from two Sindhi words Mat and yari, which means friendship with earthen water pots. According to culture, the Main Bus Stop at Matiari Main Road was where a Lady sat in a hut a long time ago. It is where she keeps a mud pot of water. People of Matiari tell the bus conductor "Mat Wari Maai" (Make Stop at Old Women's Hut Where She Keeps Mud Pot of Water). This is apparently why it the district is called Matiari.
