Tamir Blatt ( he, תמיר בלאט; born May 4, 1997) is an Israeli professional basketball player for Alba Berlin of the German Basketball Bundesliga. He is the son of former basketball player and coach David Blatt. In 2020-21 he led the Israel Basketball Premier League in assists per game. Early life Blatt was born in Netanya, Israel. He is the son of former basketball player and coach David Blatt. He played for Hapoel Lev Hasharon youth team, where led his team to win the state cup in 2021, alongside his teammate Roi Huber. In July 2021, Blatt joined the Wingate Institute youth academy. Professional career Hapoel Tel Aviv (2014–2017) On August 27, 2014, Blatt started his professional career with Hapoel Tel Aviv, signing a four-year deal. Liga Leumit ( he, ליגה לאומית, lit. ''National League'') is the second tier level league of basketball competition in Israel. It is the league level that is below the first tier Israeli Basketball Premier League, Israeli Premier League. Roi Huber ( he, רועי הובר; born February 10, 1997) is an Israeli professional basketball player for Hapoel Galil Elyon of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. Early life Huber was born in Kadima, Israel. He played for Hapoel Lev Hasharon youth team and helped them to win the Israeli Youth State Cup in 2012, alongside his teammate Tamir Blatt. David Blatt
David Michael Blatt ( he, דוד מיכאל בלאט; born May 22, 1959), is an Israeli-American professional basketball executive. He is also a former coach and player. Blatt played point guard at Princeton University from 1977 to 1981 and played in the Maccabiah Games for the U.S. national team that won a gold medal in 1981. He then played professional basketball in Israel for nine of the next twelve years, before an injury ended his playing career, and he began coaching full-time. He is one of the most successful Israeli-American coaches in European basketball history. FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship
The FIBA U20 European Championship, previously known as the European Championship for Men '22 and Under', is a men's youth basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1992 edition. Through the 2004 edition, it was held biennially, but since 2005 edition, it is held every year. The tournament was originally an Under-22 age tournament, but it is now an Under-20 age tournament.
