The Tamil blogosphere is the online community of Tamil-language weblogs that are a part of the larger Indian blogosphere. The Tamil blogosphere has a considerable number of contributors from Sri Lanka and Singapore, and is one of the largest blogospheres resident in India. Online Community
An online community, also called an internet community or web community, is a community whose members interact with each other primarily via the Internet. Members of the community usually share common interests. For many, online communities may feel like home, consisting of a "family of invisible friends". Additionally, these "friends" can be connected through gaming communities and gaming companies. Those who wish to be a part of an online community usually have to become a member via a specific site and thereby gain access to specific content or links. An online community can act as an information system where members can post, comment on discussions, give advice or collaborate, and includes medical advice or specific health care research as well. Commonly, people communicate through social networking sites, chat rooms, forums, email lists, and discussion boards, and have advanced into daily social media platforms as well. Tamil (; ' , ) is a Dravidian language natively spoken by the Tamil people of South Asia. Tamil is an official language of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, the sovereign nations of Sri Lanka and Singapore, and the Indian territory of Puducherry. A blog (a truncation of "weblog") is a discussion or informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries (posts). Indian Blogosphere
The Indian blogosphere (or IndiBlogosphere) is the online predominantly community of Indian weblogs that is part of the larger blogosphere. History In India, like elsewhere, blogging gained momentum in the early years of the twenty-first century. However, it was limited mostly to English. With the advent of unicode when typing in Indian languages on computer became possible, blogs in Indian languages started to be written. Initially due to a lack of Indic typing tools, the early Indian blogosphere was small. Greater awareness and availability of Indic typing tools led to rapid growth in blogs written in Indian languages. An impressionistic survey of Indian nglishblogosphere in 2019 says money making is still not the primary goal of most Indian bloggers. Most bloggers open multiple blogs on free blogging platforms and lose interest over time; only a small portion of bloggers sustain their blog beyond initial spurt. In metal typesetting, a font is a particular size, weight and style of a typeface. Each font is a matched set of type, with a piece (a "sort") for each glyph. A typeface consists of a range of such fonts that shared an overall design. In communications and information processing, code is a system of rules to convert information—such as a letter, word, sound, image, or gesture—into another form, sometimes shortened or secret, for communication through a communication channel or storage in a storage medium. An early example is an invention of language, which enabled a person, through speech, to communicate what they thought, saw, heard, or felt to others. But speech limits the range of communication to the distance a voice can carry and limits the audience to those present when the speech is uttered. The invention of writing, which converted spoken language into visual symbols, extended the range of communication across space and time. Google Transliteration
Google Transliteration and Google Indic Transliteration is a transliteration typing service for languages with non-Latin Alphabets. This tool first appeared in Blogger, Google's popular blogging servicLater on, it came into existence as a separate online tool. Its popularity got it embedded in GMail and Orkut. In December 2009, Google released its offline version named Google IME. This tool from Google is based on dictionary based phonetic transliteration approach. In contrast to older Indic typing tools, which work by transliterating under a particular scheme, Google transliterates by matching the Latin alphabet words with an inbuilt dictionary. Since users do not need to remember the transliteration scheme, the service is so easy that it is suitable for total beginners.
