Mark Richard Tami (born 3 October 1962) is a Welsh Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Alyn and Deeside since 2001. Early life Born in Enfield, north London, Tami was educated at Enfield Grammar School (by then a comprehensive school), and graduated in history at the University of Wales, Swansea. He was previously National Head of Policy of the union Amicus (previously the Amalgamated Engineering and Electrical Union. Parliamentary career Tami was first elected as MP for Alyn and Deeside in 2001 with a majority of 9,222, following the decision of the seat's former MP Stephen Barry Jones to step down from Parliament. Tami was returned again as MP for Alyn and Deeside at the 2005 general election, with a reduced majority. He resigned his post as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Dawn Primarolo on 6 September 2006, due to the refusal by Tony Blair to name a date for stepping down as Prime Minister. Pierluigi Tami (born 12 September 1961) is a Swiss football manager and a former defender. He also holds Italian citizenship. Career He was in charge of the Switzerland national under-21 football team, and also worked as an assistant to coach Ottmar Hitzfeld during his time as manager of the Switzerland national football team. In 2011, he won the award for Swiss football coach of the year. Tami coached the Swiss under-23 team at the 2012 Summer Olympics held in London. TAMI is an American soul/pop/blues singer known for the international hit song " The Sugar Shack". On June 3, 2017 TAMI appeared in Billboard Magazine as the #1 Breakout Artist of the Week. She charted in the United States for 12 weeks on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart in 2017, peaking at number 11 In July. "The Sugar Shack" also peaked at number 8 in the UK's Music Week, on its Commercial Pop Club Chart, in September 2017. Tami Islands
The Tami Islands are a small island group located 13 km SSE of Finschhafen in the Huon Gulf (see also Solomon Sea). It is part of today's Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. Its people were known throughout the Solomon and South Sea islands for their distinctive wooden bowls, their religious figure carvings, and their ceremonial masks. During World War II, the islands were briefly occupied by the Japanese; Tami Islands were secured after the landings and Nassau Bay, Lae and Nadzab. The Texas Archive of the Moving Image (TAMI) is an independent 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2002 by film archivist and University of Texas at Austin professor Caroline Frick, PhD.
