Tamara Taylor (rugby Union)
Tamara Taylor (born 8 October 1981) is an English female rugby union player, who captained England in the 2015 Women's Six Nations Championship. She was the 2017 RPA Player of the Year when she was one of only three women who had made more than 100 appearances for her country. She is currently the 4th most capped England womens rugby union player of all time. Career She was educated at The Oratory Preparatory School, Queen Anne's School, Caversham and Newcastle University where she read Biomedical Sciences. Taylor represented at the 2014, 2010, 2006 and 2017 World Cups, winning in 2014. Taylor joined the Jarrovians RUFC as a coach in October 2013. and currently is player coach at Darlington Mowden Park Sharks. She was the 2017 RPA Player of the Year when she was one of only three women who had made more than 100 appearances for her country. Exeter
Exeter () is a city in Devon, South West England. It is situated on the River Exe, approximately northeast of Plymouth and southwest of Bristol. In Roman Britain, Exeter was established as the base of Legio II Augusta under the personal command of Vespasian. Exeter became a religious centre in the Middle Ages. Exeter Cathedral, founded in the mid 11th century, became Anglican in the 16th-century English Reformation. 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup
The 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup was the eighth edition of the Women's Rugby World Cup and was held in Ireland in August 2017. New Zealand became the 2017 champions by beating England 41–32 in the final on 26 August. Matches were held in Dublin and Belfast. The pool stages were held at University College Dublin with the semi finals and finals held at Queen's University and Kingspan Stadium in Belfast. The tournament took place three rather than four years after the previous Women's Rugby World Cup because World Rugby wanted to move away from clashing with other events. The event returned to a four-year cycle after 2017. The 2017 tournament set attendance records for a Women's World Cup. The tournament drew 45,412 fans over 30 matches. The final was played in front of a crowd of 17,115, and the pool matches sold out. This was the last edition of the tournament under the "Women's Rugby World Cup" name.
