Talpa Media
Talpa Network is a Dutch media conglomerate created by John de Mol Jr. in 2017. History Talpa Network was created in 2017 by John de Mol when he merged all his various media assets, De Mol wanted to create a Dutch media conglomerate that could stand against foreign media companies entering the Dutch market. Talpa Holding and Sanoma acquired SBS Broadcasting in 2011, the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets forced De Mol to sell his minority stake in RTL Nederland. De Mol would remain a minority shareholder in SBS Broadcasting, until 2017 when his Talpa Holding acquired all remaining shares in SBS Broadcasting from Sanoma for €237 million. After the sale of RTL Nederland, De Mol took full ownership of Radio 538, SLAM! FM and Radio 10 Gold. Disney XD (Dutch TV Channel)
Disney XD is a Dutch free-to-air children's television channel owned by The Walt Disney Company. It broadcasts 14 hours a day, time-sharing with Dutch TV station Veronica, and is primarily aimed at children roughly between the ages of 7 and 15. The channel used to have a pay television 24-hour feed that was distributed throughout the Netherlands and Belgium (Flanders); however, it was closed down on 31 July 2018. Viewers in Belgium (Wallonia) and Luxembourg received Disney XD France, until that feed was later shut down in 2020. All series on the channel air in Dutch, either dubbed or originally produced in that language. However, the 24-hour feed of the network used to offer an optional English audio track for most programming. Thomas Alan Waits (born December 7, 1949) is an American musician, composer, songwriter, and actor. Radio 100 (former "Radio 100FM") is a Denmark, Danish radio channel. The name refers to the fact that the station used to broadcast on 100.0 MHz on the FM broadcasting, FM spectrum in the Storkøbenhavn, Greater Copenhagen Area. On 18 June 2003 Bruun Rasmussens Kunstauktion held an auction where two free spaces in the FM broadcasting, FM spectrum was auctioned. One of them was bought by Talpa Radio International and on 15 November 2003 Radio 100FM aired and covered 38% of Denmark. RTL 8
RTL 8 is a Dutch free-to-air, free-to-cable television channel that was launched on 18 August 2007 replacing Tien (TV channel), Tien, previously known as Talpa. RTL 8's main target audience consists of women. It broadcasts soap operas, talk shows, films and reruns of programmes from its sister RTL channels. In the mornings and late afternoons children's channel RTL Telekids is broadcasting on RTL 8. Officially RTL 8, along with all other Dutch RTL Nederland, RTL channels, is broadcasting under a Luxembourg television license. Therefore, the channel is also headquartered in Luxembourg. By doing this RTL can avoid more severe control by the Dutch media authorities, as Luxembourg does not have a strict authority that regulates its broadcasters. Nickelodeon (Netherlands)
The Dutch version of Nickelodeon, broadcasting free-to-cable in the Netherlands and through satellite in Belgium, and launched on 14 July 2003. Radio Veronica is a Dutch commercial radio station owned by Talpa Radio, a subsidiary of Talpa Network. The station runs pop and rock music from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, however in 2017, as the new show schedule was launched, the music format shifted towards so-called ''timeless'' hits which also includes recurrents. The station can be compared with Absolute Radio and Radio X (United Kingdom) in the United Kingdom.
