The highest-grossing film of the year was '' Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End'', which was just ahead of '' Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix''. 2007 is often considered one of the greatest years for film in the 21st century. This would also be the last year in which no films grossed at least $1 billion at the box office until 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic prevented multiple theatrically released films. Evaluation of the year Many have considered 2007 to be the greatest year for film in the 21st century and one of the greatest of all time. 7 (seven) is the natural number following 6 and preceding 8. It is the only prime number preceding a cube. As an early prime number in the series of positive integers, the number seven has greatly symbolic associations in religion, mythology, superstition and philosophy. The seven Classical planets resulted in seven being the number of days in a week. It is often considered lucky in Western culture and is often seen as highly symbolic.
