Tales From Beyond The Pale
''Tales from Beyond the Pale'' is a horror podcast inspired by 1930s radio dramas. It is produced by Larry Fessenden and Glenn McQuaid for Glass Eye Pix. History Fessenden was introducing old radio dramas to his child when Glenn McQuaid suggested they make their own. Fessenden agreed with him, and the two began producing episodes under Fessenden's studio, Glass Eye Pix. They were influenced by the works of Boris Karloff, Peter Lorre, and Orson Welles. McQuaid said that the project was an effort to reach out to collaborators and produce content without having to make a film. The series is recorded in New York City. The first season debuted in October 2010. A five-disc box set was released in October 2011. The second season became available on September 13, 2013. Larry Fessenden
Laurence T. Fessenden (born March 23, 1963) is an American actor, producer, writer, director, film editor, and cinematographer. He is the founder of the New York based independent production outfit Glass Eye Pix. His writer/director credits include No Telling' (written with Beck Underwood, 1991), ''Habit'' (1997), ''Wendigo'' (2001), and '' The Last Winter'' (written with Robert Leaver, 2006), which is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. Joe Maggio
Joe Maggio is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for his work on the films ''Virgil Bliss'', ''Paper Covers Rock'', '' Bitter Feast'', and ''The Last Rites of Joe May''. He is also one of the founding editors of the NYC-based literary and culture tabloid ''The Brooklyn Rail''. Life and career Maggio was born in Buffalo, New York. The Tribeca Film Institute (TFI) is a year-round non-profit arts organization founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff, based in New York. The Tribeca Film Institute was created in 2003 in the wake of September 11, 2001. TFI targets filmmakers from "systemically excluded communities", and awards them funding, professional development or mentorship, to allow them to further or begin their careers in film. Ain't It Cool News (AICN) is an entertainment news website founded by Harry Knowles and run by his sister Dannie Knowles since September 2017, dedicated to news, rumors, and reviews of upcoming and current films, television, and comic book projects, with an emphasis on science fiction, superhero, fantasy, horror, and action genres. Twitch Film
Screen Anarchy, previously known as Twitch Film or Twitch, is a Canadian English-language website featuring news and reviews of mainly international, independent and cult films. The website was founded in 2004 by Todd Brown. In addition to films, the website covers various film festivals from Sundance, Toronto and Fantasia to Sitges, Cannes and the Berlinale. Fantasia International Film Festival
Fantasia International Film Festival (also known as Fantasia-fest, FanTasia, and Fant-Asia) is a film festival that has been based mainly in Montreal since its founding in 1996. Stanley Film Festival was a horror film festival located in Estes Park, Colorado. Founded in 2013, the festival showcased independent horror films, including features, shorts and special events with guest filmmakers. A phonograph record (also known as a gramophone record, especially in British English), or simply a record, is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove.
