''Tale of Two Sisters'' is a 1989 Drama (film and television), drama film about two sisters who, having not seen each other for 5 years, catch up and relive childhood experiences. It is directed by Adam Rifkin and narrated by Charlie Sheen, and stars Claudia Christian and Valerie Breiman as the two sisters. Premise Phil resents her sister Liz for being the focus of their mother's love and has not spoken to her since she attended Liz's wedding. Years later Phil visits Liz at her expensive home where she lives with their parents and the two argue over their feelings about each other. Adam Rifkin
Adam Rifkin (born December 31, 1966), sometimes credited as Rif Coogan, is an American filmmaker, and actor. His career ranges from broad family comedies to dark and gritty urban dramas. He is best known for writing family-friendly comedies like ''Mouse Hunt'' and 2007's ''Underdog (2007 film), Underdog''. Most recently, Rifkin directed ''The Last Movie Star'' (2017). Early life and education A native of Chicago, Illinois, Rifkin graduated from the Chicago Academy for the Arts in 1984, after which he moved to Los Angeles. He attended the University of Southern California for one year before dropping out. He then began writing scripts and collaborating with Brad Wyman.
