Deb Talan
Deborah Ruth "Deb" Talan (born January 27, 1968) is an American singer-songwriter. She is best known for being part of the folk-pop duo the Weepies. Early life and career Born in western Massachusetts, Talan grew up in the small town of Pelham, Massachusetts and attended Amherst Regional High School (ARHS). She later attended Brown University, where she was a member of the Chattertocks, Brown's oldest all-female a cappella group, before moving to Oregon, where she was a member of Hummingfish, a Portland band, for six years. Talan's recurring lyrical motifs include celestial objects, birds, nature, and various historical figures (e.g., Marc Chagall in "Painting By Chagall," Amelia Earhart in "Thinking Amelia," and Vincent van Gogh in "Vincent"). Jonathan Lethem’s novel Motherless Brooklyn inspired Deb Talan to write "Tell Your Story Walking". Jeffrey Dennis Talan (born 29 September 1971) is a Dutch professional football coach and former player who is the assistant coach of Almere City. He gained 8 caps for the Netherlands national football team, in which he scored once. Club career Den Haag Talan began playing youth football for VV Katwijk, before moving to FC Den Haag. There, he made his debut in the Eredivisie in the 1990–91 season in the 2–0 away win over FC Volendam as a late substitute for Emiel van Eijkeren. He scored his first professional goal on 22 September 1991, opening the score in a 2–2 draw against FC Groningen. After two seasons at the highest level in which Talan made 17 appearances, the club which at that point had changed its name to ADO Den Haag suffered relegation to the Eerste Divisie after losing to Go Ahead Eagles in the relegation play-offs. Rick Talan
Rick Talan (3 November 1960 – 30 September 2015) was a Dutch football player. Club career A pacy striker, Talan started his career with local amateur side Katwijk and joined AZ'67 in 1978. He scored 44 goals in 95 official matches for the club and was part of the squad that won the club's first Eredivisie title in 1981. In the 1983–84 Eredivisie season he scored 20 goals in 33 league games for AZ. In 1982, he played half a year for Belgian side Cercle Brugge, scoring twice in 14 official matches. He finishes his career in 1988 after playing almost 100 games with Vitesse Arnhem. Personal life and death Talan's younger brother Jeffrey also became a professional footballer and earned 8 senior caps for the Netherlands. Talan owned an accountancy company in Zevenaar. Rick Talan suffered from a brain tumor in 2007 and underwent two operations. The tumor however returned a year later and he died in September 2015.

Roman Serhiiovych Talan ( uk, Роман Сергійович Талан; born 4 February 1988) is a Ukrainian former competitive pair skater. With Kateryna Kostenko, he is the 2009 Ukrainian national champion and represented Ukraine at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Talan Skeels-Piggins (born 10 September 1970 in Bristol) is a Children’s Author, a double 600cc Motorcycle World Champion (Paralysed category) and Winter Paralympian - as part of the British Team alpine skier. Skeels-Piggins used a sit-ski in alpine competitions. Skeels-Piggins is a former Royal Navy fighter controller and PE teacher at St Laurence School, Bradford On Avon. He was paralysed from the chest down following a motorcycle accident in March 2003, which shattered his spine and broke his neck. After his injury he was retained in the Armed Forces and serves as a lieutenant in the Royal Naval Reserves. He began skiing on a family holiday at the age of nine. Whilst in the Royal Navy, he was selected for the RN Ski Team and was captain of the Scotland, Northern England & Northern Ireland Command team.
