"Taking You Home" is a song by Don Henley from 2000 album ''Inside Job''. The track was written by Henley along with Stuart Brawley and Stan Lynch and was Henley's only number one on the Adult Contemporary chart as a solo artist. "Taking You Home" stayed at number one for four weeks and went to number 58 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. In popular culture The song was used in the closing scenes of the 21st episode of the sixth season of '' ER'', entitled " Such Sweet Sorrow", when the characters of Carol Hathaway (Julianna Margulies) and Doug Ross ( George Clooney) reunite after over a year apart. Don Henley
Donald Hugh Henley (born July 22, 1947) is an American musician and a founding member of the rock band Eagles. He is the drummer and one of the lead singers for the Eagles. Henley sang the lead vocals on Eagles hits such as "Witchy Woman", "Desperado", " Best of My Love", "One of These Nights", "Hotel California", "Life in the Fast Lane", " The Long Run" and " Get Over It". After the Eagles disbanded in 1980, Henley pursued a solo career and released his debut album '' I Can't Stand Still'', in 1982. Adult Contemporary is a chart published by '' Billboard'' ranking the top-performing songs in the United States in the adult contemporary music (AC) market. James Thomas Denton Jr. (born January 20, 1963) is an American actor and musician. He is best known for playing Mike Delfino on ABC's comedy-drama series ''Desperate Housewives'' (2004–2012) and Dr. Sam Radford on Hallmark Channel's comedy-drama series '' Good Witch'' (2015–2021). Early life Denton was born January 20, 1963, in Nashville, Tennessee, and grew up in nearby Goodlettsville, the second of three children. His father, J.T. ''Inside Job'' is the fourth solo studio album by Don Henley, the lead vocalist and drummer for the Eagles. The album was released through the Warner Bros. record label on May 23, 2000, the album was Henley's last album of all-new material until the release of '' Cass County'' in 2015. The song "Goodbye to a River" was apparently named after the book of the same title by John Graves. In the album's liner notes Henley wrote: "Respect and gratitude to fellow Texan, John Graves, for his inspirational writing - ''Goodbye to a River'' (1960) and other books." The album was the first solo album for Henley in 11 years, the album reached #7 on the charts and released two Adult Contemporary Tracks singles with "Taking You Home", and "Everything's Different Now". Douglas Ross, M.D. is a fictional character from the NBC medical drama series '' ER,'' portrayed by American actor George Clooney. He is a pediatric fellow, employed by the pediatric service, but works in the ER. He is later promoted to a pediatric attending in the ER.
