Take Time (Giveon EP)
''Take Time'' is the debut EP by American Contemporary R&B, R&B singer and songwriter Giveon, released by Epic Records on March 27, 2020. On the US ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' Heatseekers chart, it was ranked as number one for three weeks in a row, beginning with January 16, 2021. The EP later peaked at number 35 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200. On March 12, 2021, ''Take Time'' was nominated for Grammy Award for Best R&B Album, Best R&B Album at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. Critical reception Robyn Mowatt of ''Okayplayer'' said that "''Take Time'' is one hell of a debut. Giveon Dezmann Evans (born February 21, 1995), better known by his mononym Giveon (stylized as GIVĒON), is an American singer-songwriter. He rose to prominence with his collaboration with Drake on their 2020 single, "Chicago Freestyle". That same year, Giveon released the EPs, '' Take Time'' and ''When It's All Said and Done'', the former being nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album, and the latter reaching the Top 10 on the US Top R&B Albums chart. Okayplayer is an online hip-hop and alternative music website and community, described by ''Rolling Stone'' as a "tastemaker" and "an antidote to dull promotional Web sites used by most artists". The community was founded by The Roots' drummer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson and author Angela Nissel as a loose musical collective in 1987, and evolved into an online community in 1999.
