And we're still singing our songs, our songs, our songs!". On the final night of Williams's 2003 Knebworth House concerts, 125,000 ticketholders sang Strong to set the world record for ''Most Karaoke Participants''. Williams a ...

He commented, "I just couldn't sing it as well as I did on that day." Chart performance The song was aimed to become the Christmas number-one in the United Kingdom, but peaked at number four. It still spent four weeks inside the top 10, however. "Feel" became Williams's biggest international hit and his best selling single in Europe: the song topped the ...

Listen To The Music
"Listen to the Music" is a song recorded by the Doobie Brothers on their second album ''Toulouse Street''. The song was the Doobie Brothers' first big hit in 1972. It was written by Tom Johnston. Song Writer Tom Johnston described the motivation for the song as a call for world peace: "The chord structure of it made me think of something positive, so the lyrics that came out of that were based on this utopian idea that if the leaders of the world got together on some grassy hill somewhere and either smoked enough dope or just sat down and just listened to the music and forgot about all this other bullshit, the world would be a much better place. It was very utopian and very unrealistic (laughs). It seemed like a good idea at the time." The studio recording used both a banjo and a prominent flanging effect, audible from the bridge until the fadeout. When released as a single by Warner Bros. Records, the song peaked at number 11 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in November 1972. Th ...

Candy (Robbie Williams Song)
"Candy" is a song by English pop singer Robbie Williams, released on 11 September 2012 as the lead single from his ninth studio album '' Take the Crown''. It was written by Williams and Gary Barlow, sampling a riff from "Eurodans" by Terje Olsen. The song was Williams's first UK number-one single since "Radio" in 2004, and was deliberately produced in the style of other 2012 chart-toppers in a calculated attempt to re-establish his presence in the UK charts. The track premiered on BBC Radio 1 just days before the station removed Williams from their playlist, deeming him no longer relevant to their target audience. Williams claimed to be gutted by the decision, citing Radio 1 as a pop star's "main oxygen". When the song reached number one without Radio 1 airplay, the singer thanked the station, who "have supported me for a long, long time and I'm very grateful to them. Oh, and I can still have number ones without them!" Background and release The track was originally rumoure ...

Sexed Up
Sexed up refers to making something more sexually attractive. Since 2003 it has been used in the sense of making something more attractive than it really is by selective presentation; a modern update to the phrase " hyped up". One variant of "sexed up" is "sex it up". The implication is that no actual lying is taking place, but that spin is being placed on certain parts of the message. History The phrase gained currency in the United Kingdom on 29 May 2003, when BBC defence correspondent Andrew Gilligan filed a report for BBC Radio 4's ''Today'' programme in which he stated that an unnamed source, a senior British official, had told him that the September Dossier had been "sexed up", and that the intelligence agencies were concerned about some highly dubious information contained within it—specifically the claim that Saddam Hussein could deploy weapons of mass destruction within 45 minutes of an order. The dubious information was used to make a case for urgent action and to just ...

Spanish version Robbie Williams recorded a Spanish version of the song called "" ("To Be Better"). It was included on the Latin American pressings of ''Sing When You're Winning''.
