''Take Me To Your Leader'' is the third album by ¡Mayday! and debut album on Tech N9ne and Travis O'Guin's Strange Music, independent record label. The album was released on March 26, 2012, after being pushed forward a day from March 27. An instrumental version of the album was later released on January 29, 2013 entitled ''Take Me To Your Speakers''. Background ¡Mayday! signed to Strange Music in April 2011. Take Me To Your Leader was announced in late 2011 after ¡Mayday! appeared on 3 tracks of Tech N9ne's Welcome to Strangeland: "The Noose", "Retrogression" and "EMJ (Emotional Musical Journey)". ¡Mayday! (stylized in all caps as ¡MAYD∀Y!) is an American hip hop group from Miami, Florida. The group comprises rappers Bernardo "Bernz" Garcia and Ben "Wrekonize" Miller, along with producer and percussionist Andrews "NonMS" Mujica. Until 2015, the group also included keyboard player and guitarist Aaron Eckhart (a.k.a. Plex Luthor), drummer Terrel (a.k.a. L T Hopkins), and bassist Gianni Perocapi (a.k.a. Gianni Ca$h). The band was formerly signed to Tech N9ne and Travis O'Guin's Strange Music label. As of May 1, 2022, all future releases will be on their own label Mayday Music distributed by It Goes Up. Welcome To Strangeland
''Welcome to Strangeland'' is the twelfth studio album, and the fourth in the "Collabos" series, by rapper Tech N9ne. It was released on November 8, 2011, the rapper's 40th birthday. Background In April 2011, Tech N9ne spoke about the album in an interview with 411mania.com. In the interview he said that the album would strictly feature everyone on the Strange Music label, only expanding to closely affiliated artists such as Irv Da Phenom and Ces Cru. Then in August 2011, Tech announced through Twitter that he was about to begin work on ''Strangeland'' and that producers would include Seven, Jomeezius The Genius, David Sanders II and ¡Mayday!. He also said that the album would most likely feature 18 tracks. On August 11, 2011, Tech N9ne posted an image on Twitter revealing a track called "Kocky" and featuring Kutt Calhoun and Jay Rock. Krizz Kaliko
Samuel William Christopher Watson IV (born March 7, 1974), better known by his stage name Krizz Kaliko, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and voice actor. He is a longtime collaborator with fellow hometown native Tech N9ne and was signed to Strange Music from its inception in 1999 up to forming his own label Ear House Inc. in 2021. Career Krizz Kaliko began his musical career in the late 1990s when he began working with local producer IcyRoc Kraven. Another local rapper by the name of Tech N9ne was also collaborating with IcyRoc at the time, which led to the two rappers meeting. At the time, Tech N9ne was working on a song titled "Who You Came To See" and Kaliko made a comment that the song could have a better hook. Tech offered up the opportunity to prove his case, and Tech was blown away when Kaliko did. Nicholas Neil Carter (born March 16, 1978), better known by his stage name Murs, is an American rapping, rapper. Aaron Dontez Yates (born November 8, 1971), better known by his stage name Tech N9ne (pronounced "tech nine"), is an American rapper. In 1999, he and business partner Travis O'Guin founded the record label Strange Music. He has sold over two million albums and has had his music featured in film, television, and video games. In 2009, he won the Left Field Woodie award at the mtvU Woodie Awards. His stage name originated from the TEC-9 semi-automatic handgun, a name given to him by rapper Black Walt due to his fast-rhyming chopper style.
