Takashi 'Shiro' Shirogane
Sven Holgersson, known as in the original Japanese language ''Beast King GoLion'' and in '' Voltron: Legendary Defender'', is a fictional character in the media franchise ''Voltron'', and a member of the Voltron Force. The character's first appearance was in '' Voltron: Defender of the Universe''. The character has received a positive critical reception, although their depiction as a gay man in ''Legendary Defender'' has been criticised as being poorly written. Conception and creation Sven is a composite character of two characters from '' Beast King Go Lion'': Takashi Shirogane, the original blue lion pilot who was killed in episode 6, and Ryou Shirogane, Takashi's brother. Since they looked alike, WEP simply decided that Sven would survive the events of episode 6 and be treated as if they were the same character.
