Taiwan Competitiveness Forum
Taiwan Competitiveness Forum (, TCF) is a policy think tank in Taiwan led by academics supporting Chinese Unification. History The group was founded on August 15, 2007, by scholars who "worried about the deadlock situation of the Cross-Strait relations, cross-strait relationship [...] and draining competitive power in the country". The chairman of the group at the time was Pang Chien-kuo, a Kuomintang politician. During the 2014 Taiwanese local elections, Taiwan Competitiveness Forum published an opinion poll about Ko Wen-je's :zh:MG149案, MG149 controversy. The opinion poll, however, is heavily criticised for push poll: Liao Yu-Tseng (廖育嶒), master of political science at National Chengchi University, described the questions as "leading", indicated that they "cannot represent how voters truly think". A think tank, or policy institute, is a research institute that performs research and advocacy concerning topics such as social policy, political strategy, economics, military, technology, and culture. National Taiwan University
National Taiwan University (NTU; ) is a public research university in Taipei, Taiwan. The university was founded in 1928 during Japanese rule as the seventh of the Imperial Universities. It was named Taihoku Imperial University and served during the period of Japanese colonization. Sean Lien or Lien Sheng-wen (; Taiwanese: Liân sìng-bûn; born February 4, 1970) is a member of the Central Standing Committee of the Kuomintang of the Republic of China (Taiwan). He is co-founder of Evenstar Capital and he previously served as chairman of the Taipei Smart Card Corporation, the company which operates EasyCard. The Legislative Yuan is the unicameral legislature of the Republic of China (Taiwan) located in Taipei. The Legislative Yuan is composed of 113 members, who are directly elected for 4-year terms by people of the Taiwan Area through a parallel voting system.
