Taiping, Taichung
Taiping District () is an inner city district in the eastern part of Taichung, Taiwan. It is the second largest district in Taichung City after Heping District. History After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China in 1945, Taiping was organized as a rural township of Taichung County. On 1 August 1996, Taiping was upgraded to a county-administered city due to its population. On 25 December 2010, Taichung County was merged with Taichung City and Taiping was upgraded to a district of the city. District (Taiwan)
Districts are administrative subdivisions of the Taiwan, Republic of China (Taiwan)'s special municipality (Taiwan), special municipalities of the second level and provincial city (Taiwan), provincial cities of the third level formerly under its Provinces of China, provinces. There are two types of district in the administrative scheme. Ordinary districts are governed directly by the municipality/city government with district administrators appointed by the mayors to four-year terms. The mountain indigenous district is a local government body with elected district chiefs as well as district council serving four-year terms. Longan
''Dimocarpus longan'', commonly known as the longan () and dragon's eye, is a tropical tree species that produces edible fruit. It is one of the better-known tropical members of the soapberry family Sapindaceae, to which the lychee and rambutan also belong. The fruit of the longan is similar to that of the lychee, but less aromatic in taste. It is native to tropical Asia and China. The longan (from Cantonese ''lùhng-ngáahn'' , literally 'dragon eye'), is so named because it resembles an eyeball when its fruit is shelled (the black seed shows through the translucent flesh like a pupil and iris). Sister City
A sister city or a twin town relationship is a form of legal or social agreement between two geographically and politically distinct localities for the purpose of promoting cultural and commercial ties. While there are early examples of international links between municipalities akin to what are known as sister cities or twin towns today dating back to the 9th century, the modern concept was first established and adopted worldwide during World War II. Lincoln, Nebraska

Bat Tunnel
The BaT (Bus and Train) project was a proposed north–south tunnel that would provide bus and rail modes of transportation by combining a new underground rail line and busway in a single, double-decked, 15m-wide tunnel beneath the Brisbane River and Brisbane central business district. The tunnel was to have three underground stations at Woolloongabba, George Street and Roma Street with Dutton Park upgraded. The BaT project was planned to be a critical new link in South East Queensland’s public transport network by creating new major transport hubs across the city and inner city suburbs, and facilitating existing locations such as The Gabba, and the new Queen's Wharf development on George Street.
