Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School
Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School (, CKHS; formerly Chien Kuo from the Wade-Giles transliteration) is a public high school for boys located in Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. The school was established in 1898 during the early years of Japanese rule. Originally named "No. 1 Taihoku High School" (), it was the first public high school in Taiwanese history. CKHS requires the highest scores on the national senior high school entrance exams. As of July 2021, CKHS's alumni include 1 Nobel Prize laureate (Physics), the only ethnic Chinese Turing Award laureate, 1 Cannes Film Festival Award winner (Best Director), 1 head of state, at least 5 members of the US National Academy of Sciences, and numerous scholars and public servants. Benjamin Hsiao
Benjamin S. Hsiao (born 12 August 1958) is an American materials scientist and educator. He served as the vice-president for Research and Chief Research Officer at Stony Brook University from May 2012 to December 2013. Andrew Yao
Andrew Chi-Chih Yao (; born December 24, 1946) is a Chinese computer scientist and computational theorist. He is currently a professor and the dean of Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (IIIS) at Tsinghua University. Yao used the minimax theorem to prove what is now known as Yao's Principle. Yao was a naturalized U.S. citizen, and worked for many years in the U.S. In 2015, together with Yang Chen-Ning, he renounced his U.S. citizenship and became an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Xiao Hu Dui
Xiao Hu Dui (Chinese: 小虎隊), also known as the Little Tigers, were a Taiwanese boy band formed in 1988. The band consisted of Alec Su, Nicky Wu and Julian Chen. The trio rose to fame during the late 1980s, achieving success in their native Taiwan and throughout Asia. Their success led to the recognition, popularity and creation of Taiwanese idol boy bands and other pop acts. Xiao Hu Dui are cited as the first idol band. Alec Su You-peng (born 11 September 1973) is a Taiwanese actor, singer, television producer, and film director. Su became a popular teen idol in the 1980s as a member of the boyband ''Xiao Hu Dui''. He was known as the "Obedient Tiger" (乖乖虎). The 1998–1999 hit TV series ''My Fair Princess'' marked a turning point in Su's career. International Science Olympiad
The International Science Olympiads are a group of worldwide annual competitions in various areas of the formal sciences, natural sciences, and social sciences. The competitions are designed for the 4-6 best high school students from each participating country selected through internal National Science Olympiads, with the exception of the IOL, which allows two teams per country, the IOI, which allows two teams from the hosting country, and the IJSO, which is designed for junior secondary students. The Comprehensive Assessment Program for Junior High School Students or CAP () is an exam for junior high school students in the Republic of China (Taiwan). The CAP is usually held in the weekend of mid-May by the Ministry of Education Republic of China, creating a standardized test for 9th graders. Khaki (color)
The color khaki (, ) is a light shade of tan with a slight yellowish tinge.
