Tahmoures Pournazeri
Tahmoures Pournazeri ( fa, تهمورس پورناظری; born 8 February 1977) is an Iranian multi-instrumentalist and Iranian traditional musician. He is a member of Shamss Ensemble since 1989, along with his father Kaykhosro Pournazeri and his brother Sohrab pournazeri. He has been acclaimed by the U.S. Senate for composing music for the International Norooz Celebration, and collaborated with artists like Joan Baez, Shujaat Hussain Khan, and the great master Mohammad Reza Shajarian. He has composed for fifteen albums covering six genres of music, participated in the Avignon Festival at the age of 15, won first honours among Young Iranian Talents at age 14, and performed with the Shams Ensemble at Iran's most celebrated concert halls starting at age 12. Kaykhosro Pournazeri
Kaykhosro Pournazeri (born in Kermanshah, Iran; 21 June 1944) is a composer and musician who plays Tanbour. He studied music with musician Ostad Ali-Naqi Vaziri. Kaykhosro Pornazeri founded the Shamss Ensemble in 1980 and combined Tanbour with the poetry of Rumi and the Daf frame drum. Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall
The Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall ( tr, Cemal Reşit Rey Konser Salonu) is a concert hall located in the Harbiye neighbourhood of Istanbul, Turkey. It is one of the country's major concert halls, being the first one designed for classical music. Named after the Turkish composer Cemal Reşit Rey (1904–1985), the hall is owned by the Metropolitan Municipality of Istanbul and operated by its subsidiary, the Kültür company. Opened in March 1989, it has a seating capacity of 860. The concert hall hosts concerts, ballet and dance performances every year between October and May. Jimmy Johnson (blues Guitarist)
James Earl Thompson (November 25, 1928 – January 31, 2022), known professionally as Jimmy Johnson, was an American blues guitarist and singer. Early life Johnson was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi, on November 25, 1928. Several of his brothers had careers in music, among them soul musician Syl Johnson and bassist Mack Thompson, who played with Magic Sam. In his younger years, he played piano and sang in gospel groups. He and his family moved to Chicago in 1950, where he worked as a welder and played guitar in his spare time. He began playing professionally with Slim Willis in 1959, changing his last name to Johnson, as did his brother Syl. As a guitarist he was influenced by Buddy Guy and Otis Rush.
