Tahir Bilgiç
Tahir Bilgiç (born 12 December 1968) is an Australian comedian, film and television actor, of Turkish people, Turkish descent. He is primarily an actor and comedian. He has written, directed and starred in some of the most successful live stage shows Australia has ever seen, including "Lord of The Kebabs", "From Lebanon With Love" and "Straight Outta Compo" to name a few. He has appeared in 5 different Australian sit-coms and 3 feature films. He co-created and starred in "StreetSmart" (ch10) as well as coming with the initial idea and then co-creating "Here Come The Habibs" (ch9). Career Tahir has a huge body of work and is enjoying a highly successful career as a comedian / writer / director and actor. He features as the Lebanese character Habib in the hit series ''Pizza (TV series), Pizza'' and the motion pictures ''Fat Pizza'' and ''Fat Pizza vs. Housos''. The Comedy Channel
The Comedy Channel (promoted on air as comedy) is a defunct Australian subscription television channel available on Foxtel, and Optus Television. The channel ceased broadcasting on 1 September 2020. History A joint venture between Artist Services (20%), Australis Media (40%), and Foxtel (40%), the channel began broadcasting on the Galaxy platform, and became available on Foxtel on 1 August 1996. After the collapse of Australis in 1998, Foxtel's share of the channel increased to 80%. The channel became fully owned by Foxtel after it purchased Artist Services' (now ITV Studios Australia, formerly Granada Australia) 20% stake in August 2002. ''Thank God You're Here'' is an Australian television improvised comedy program created by Working Dog Productions, which premiered on Network Ten on 5 April 2006, and aired for the first three seasons and on Seven for the fourth season.
