Taguatinga Esporte Clube, commonly known as Taguatinga, are a Brazilian football team from Taguatinga, in Distrito Federal. They won the Campeonato Brasiliense five times and competed in the Série A once. History They were founded on July 1, 1975. The club won the Campeonato Brasiliense for the first time in 1981. Taguatinga competed in the Série A in 1982, when they finished in the last place of their group, and were relegated to the same year's Série B. Serejão
The Elmo Serejo Farias Stadium, popularly known as Serejão or, more recently, Boca do Jacaré, is a Brazilian football stadium, located at administrative region of Taguatinga, in the Distrito Federal. The stadium holds 35,000 people. It was built in 1978. The stadium is owned by the Taguatinga Regional Administration and by the Distrito Federal Government and is the home stadium of Taguatinga Esporte Clube. Stadium name Its formal name honors Elmo Serejo Farias, who was Taguatinga's administrator and Distrito Federal's governor during the stadium construction. Taguatinga, Federal District
Taguatinga is an administrative region in the Federal District in Brazil. Campeonato Brasiliense is the football league of the Federal District, Brazil. It is organized by the Distrito Federal Football Federation. Teams from other states can be affiliated to the Distrito Federal Football Federation (FFDF) as long as they are located within 200 km from Brasília. This is the case of Associação Atlética Luziânia from the state of Goiás and Unaí Esporte Clube from the state of Minas Gerais. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série B is commonly referred to as the Brasileirão Série B (Série B), and until 2022 was officially called Brasileirão Sportingbet by sponsorship reasons. It is the second tier of the Brazilian football league system. Although not having been played annually since its founding in 1971, the competition format has changed almost every season.
