Mahmud Taghiyev
Mahmud Taghiyev ( az, Mahmud Tağıyev, 11 June 1923 — 21 November 2001) was an Azerbaijani painter, Honored Art Worker of the Azerbaijan SSR. Biography Mahmud Taghiyev was born on June 11, 1923, in Baku. After graduating from Azerbaijan State School of Art in 1941, he studied at All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow, in 1949–1953, and studied at the Leningrad Institute of Art, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E.Repin in 1953–1956. Mahmud Taghiyev was married to painter Khalida Safarova in 1946 and had been a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan since that year. He died on November 20, 2001, in Baku. Creativity The main themes of Mahmud Taghiyev's early creativity are still life and landscape paintings. He had been researching industrial and agricultural topics since the 1960s. Taghi Taghiyev
Tağı Tağıyev ( az, Tağı Əzizağa oğlu Tağıyev; 7 November 1917 – 27 June 1993) was a painter and People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR. Biography Taghi Taghiyev was born on November 11, 1917 in Baku. He studied at Technical School of Art in Baku in 1931-1935. Later he studied at Surikov Moscow Art Institute in 1940-1941. He is the author of thematic picture, still life, portraits, landscapes and home scenes. Taghiyev is more famous as a portrait master. He is also known as one of the creators of realist painting in Azerbaijan. Main themes in his works is the history and historical personalities, laborers, and the nature. Taghi Taghiyev had been in many countries as Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, France and created many paintings about their life. His first exhibition in Baku hold in 1962. Alakbar Taghiyev ( az, Ələkbər Tağıyev; April 28, 1924 – April 16, 1981) was Azerbaijani composer and author of popular Azerbaijani songs. Biography He was born in 1922, in Ganja, into a large, low-income family. At the age of 14, he began to work in case of need in secretariat of judicial trials. Soviet Union Judicial Institute and after graduation began to work in Goychay as an investigator. He worked in Public Procurators' Office more than 30 years and worked till being a chief of investigation department of Public Procurators' Office of Baku city. He died in Baku. Creativity From Alakbar's youth people around him noticed his musical talent, but he chose the other way and engaged in jurisprudence.
