William Howard Taft Charter High School is a public school located on the corner of Ventura Boulevard and Winnetka Avenue in the Woodland Hills district of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California, within the Los Angeles Unified School District. The school gained affiliated charter status beginning with the 2013–2014 school year. History Named after former U.S. president William Howard Taft, the school first opened in 1960. It was in the Los Angeles City High School District until 1961, when it merged into LAUSD. In the 2013–2014 school year, Taft High School became a Charter School. Bryce Alexander Dejean-Jones (August 21, 1992 – May 28, 2016) was an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Iowa State University after stints with USC and UNLV, and played professionally for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The UConn Huskies men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball team of the University of Connecticut, in Storrs, Connecticut. DeAndre Martise Daniels (born April 15, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the Townsville Heat of the NBL1 North. He played college basketball for the UConn Huskies, where he won a national championship and made the NCAA Final Four All-Tournament team in 2014. A 6'9" small forward from Los Angeles, Daniels surprised recruiting experts by choosing defending champion Connecticut out of IMG Academy – despite never visiting the East Coast school. Kihei Issaiah Clark (born January 25, 2000) is an American college basketball player for the Virginia Cavaliers of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Filter is an American rock music, rock band formed in 1993 in Cleveland, Ohio, by singer Richard Patrick and guitarist and programmer Brian Liesegang. The band was formed when Patrick desired to start his own band after leaving Nine Inch Nails as their touring guitarist. Michael Ross Borzello (born August 14, 1970) is an American professional baseball coach who has worked for the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB). In June 1991, Borzello signed with the St. Louis Cardinals.
