''Earth: Final Conflict'' is a science fiction television series based on ideas developed by Gene Roddenberry. The series was produced under the guidance of his widow, Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, who possessed notes kept by Roddenberry that would provide the conceptual basis for the series. It ran for five seasons between October 6, 1997, and May 20, 2002. Setting Early in the 21st century, a race of aliens, the Taelons (often referred to as "the Companions"), travel to Earth and take up residence in limited numbers. The Taelons possess highly advanced technologies, many of which they share with humanity, seemingly out of generosity and good will. As a result of these advances, disease, war and pollution are nearly eliminated within three years of their arrival. Despite this, some question whether the Taelons' motives are as benevolent as they appear, and a resistance movement forms to halt the Taelons' ever-growing influence on humanity. David Kirschner
David Maxwell Kirschner (born May 29, 1955) is an American film & television producer and screenwriter. His producing credits include the animated feature ''An American Tail'' (also wrote) and '' Child's Play'' horror film series. Career After studying at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, Kirschner began his career designing album cover art for Neil Diamond, most notably Neil Diamond's ''The Jazz Singer'', and illustrating characters for the '' Muppets'' and ''Sesame Street''. In 1983, Kirschner created and released children's book series ''Rose Petal Place'', which spawned two Television specials, toys, clothing, and a wide array of licensed consumer products. ''The Questor Tapes'' is a 1974 American made-for-television sci-fi drama film about an android (portrayed by Robert Foxworth) with incomplete memory tapes who is searching for his creator and his purpose. Conceived by Gene Roddenberry, who is credited as executive consultant, the script is credited to Roddenberry and fellow '' Star Trek'' alumnus Gene L. Coon. The pilot was directed by Richard Colla. A novelization, written by D. C. Fontana (another ''Star Trek'' alumnus), was dedicated to Coon, who died before the program was broadcast. Robert Leeshock (born December 13, 1961) is an American actor. He is best known in television for portraying the role of Liam Kincaid on the sci-fi drama series ''Earth: Final Conflict''. Early life Leeshock was born in Clifton, New Jersey. He attended Cornell University as an arts and science major, then graduated with a degree in materials science engineering.
