Tae Kwon Do Life Magazine
''Tae Kwon Do Life Magazine'' is a magazine devoted to the martial art of taekwondo, and is published in the United States of America. It was founded in 2016 by US Olympic Taekwondo coach and Grandmaster Yeon Hwan Park. The magazine appears in print and digital in 144 countries around the world. It features stories, largely from the world of Taekwondo, and receives written contributions from the Kukkiwon, World Taekwondo Headquarters, USA Taekwondo, and World Taekwondo. In 2019 the magazine added a weekly interview podcast hosted by Marc Zirogiannis, the author oThe Suffering of Innocents and the Chief Editor and contributor to Taekwondo Life's print magazine. Taekwondo
''Taekwondo'', ''Tae Kwon Do'' or ''Taekwon-Do'' (; ko, 태권도/跆拳道 ) is a Korean martial arts, Korean form of martial arts involving punching and kicking techniques, with emphasis on head-height kicks, spinning jump kicks, and fast kicking techniques. The literal translation for tae kwon do is "kicking", "punching", and "the art or way of". They are a kind of martial arts in which one attacks or defends with hands and feet anytime or anywhere, with occasional use of weapons. The physical training undertaken in Taekwondo is purposeful and fosters strength of mind through mental armament. Taekwondo practitioners wear a uniform, known as a dobok. Yeon Hwan Park
__NOTOC__ Park, Yeon-Hwan (born June 29, 1952) is a South Korean Grandmaster of Taekwondo. He currently has earned a ninth-degree black belt and holds the title kwan jang-nim (Grandmaster) under the direction of the Kukkiwon. Park was the undefeated Korean national champion of Tae Kwon Do from 1971 to 1975 and the former coach of the U.S. Olympic and Pan-American Tae Kwon Do team. Park trained in his native Korea from early childhood. He attended Korea University and served in the Republic of Korea Marine Corps before being dispatched by the South Korean government as an emissary to Africa, where he began teaching taekwondo in Lesotho. In 1980 he settled in the United States, where he established himself as a prominent figure in taekwondo instruction. USA Taekwondo (USAT) is the national governing body (NGB) of Taekwondo for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and thus the United States's official Member National Association of World Taekwondo USAT has complete authority over all decisions regarding US national junior and senior team selections for World Taekwondo events, including the Summer Olympic Games Taekwondo competition event. World Taekwondo, called the World Taekwondo Federation until June 2017, is an international federation governing the sport of taekwondo and is a member of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF). The ''World Taekwondo Federation'' was established on May 28, 1973, at its inaugural meeting held at the Kukkiwon with participation of 35 representatives from around the world. there are 212 member nations.
